Raheem Sterling hints where his future may be after Man City

Raheem Sterling has discussed his future at Man City and admitted it has 'always been a dream' to play in a foreign country.

The 24-year-old joined the Blues in 2015 and since then has gone on to achieve incredible things, having been a key component in the side that claimed the first ever mens domestic treble in England last season and winning six trophies to date.

There are set to be plenty more good times in store too, as City don't look like slowing down their dominance any time soon and Sterling's contract still has another four seasons to go.

However, City's man of the hour has discussed his 'dream' to one day player where the weather is a bit nicer than in Manchester , but thankfully it doesn't appear that he will be jetting off any time soon.

"Looking at it now it’s like, Manchester, I love it. I love it here," Sterling told GQ Magazine when asked if he would ever want to play abroad.

"This is one of the best clubs in the world and I’m here for the long haul. But you just don’t know what happens in the future. I’m still young and, like I say, I am loving every minute.

"Ever since I was a kid, 100 per cent it’s always been a dream of mine to play abroad somewhere. It would be nice one day to finish training and go home and sit in your garden and eat some dinner."

Sterling also revealed the requirements for his next location as 'warm' and somewhere where ' it’s minimum 17C or 18C constantly.'

One country which is ruled out is Germany but Sterling cites another reason for that, something that teammates Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane has helped him discover.

"The language barrier," he said.

"It sounds very difficult. Spanish sounds like... “Hola! Raheem!” I feel that one I can definitely catch on.

"I hear Leroy and Ilkay talking and sometimes I think they’re having me on. I’m like, “You lot are not speaking to each other. That’s not a language I could do.”
