Raheem Sterling has been the victim of another burglary and is understood to have been in the house with his family when the incident occurred.

It is understood that the invasion took place last Saturday at the Chelsea player’s residence and involved masked men trying to break into the property. Sterling and his family escaped unharmed but it is the second time that the former England international’s home has been targeted.

A spokesperson for Sterling said: “We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend. We can also confirm that he and his children were present at home at the time. Whilst the ultimate violation of privacy and safety, we are thankful to be able to confirm that he and his loved ones are all safe. We ask that the privacy of Raheem and his loved ones be respected at this challenging time.”

Chelsea are aware of the incident and are supporting Sterling, while Thames Valley police has confirmed that it has launched an investigation into the break-in.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers are conducting a thorough investigation and ask anyone with information, or if they saw anyone in the area acting suspiciously, to contact police.”

Sterling lives with his long-term partner Paige Milian and their children. The former Manchester City winger previously had to leave England’s base in Qatar at the 2022 World Cup after a burglary at his home. Sterling flew back to the UK to support his family but returned to Qatar in time for England’s quarter‑final defeat by France.

The 30-year-old, who has nearly two years left on a contract worth more than £300,000 a week, has not been involved in any of Chelsea’s first‑team squads this season. He joined the London club from City in 2022 but has failed to live up to expectations. Sterling struggled on loan at Arsenal last season and has no future at Chelsea. He has not played for England since December 2022.
