Raheem Sterling admits he's not been happy at Man City this season

Raheem Sterling has admitted he's been frustrated at his lack of game time at Manchester City this season.

Sterling has long seemingly been one of Pep Guardiola 's 'undroppables' but his form dipped this campaign and, with Phil Foden delivering excellent displays on the left wing, the 26-year-old has been left fighting for first-team football.

However, there were glimpses of quality from Sterling towards the end of the season and Guardiola, perhaps surprisingly, included him in the Blues' starting XI against Chelsea in the Champions League final.

Now, Sterling, speaking ahead of England's game against the Czech Republic on Tuesday, has explained he's happiest when playing regular football, although that admission shouldn't be a concern to supporters, as that's natural for players of his calibre.

Would you start Sterling next season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

"Just being happy, enjoying my football and that is what I am doing being here with the national team," Sterling told reporters.

"If you're not playing, you're not happy. That's me, that's been me since I was a kid.

"If I'm playing football I am really happy, if I'm not I'm not happy."
