Raging Scots easyjet passenger screams 'everybody dies' and coughs on passengers as she's hauled off flight over face mask refusal

Shocking footage has emerged of a ranting passenger getting chucked off an Edinburgh bound flight for refusing to wear a face mask.

A video apparently shot by a fellow passenger captures the moment the woman swears and coughs in the cabin before being shown the door by crew.

Stunned mask-wearing flyers watch on as the woman launches into a foul-mouthed tirade while easyJet’s Belfast to Edinburgh flight prepared to take-off yesterday afternoon.

The raging passenger with dark hair and wearing a grey dress yells: “Yous all f**k off.

"Everybody dies, you know that? Every-f***in-body dies, if it’s through corona or not.”

She then grabs her bag and coat from a seat before storming down the cabin and coughing in the faces of her fellow passengers.

A steward can be seen following her down the walkway telling her “off, now” and she leaves the aircraft.

A spokeswoman for easyJet confirmed a passenger was turfed off the flight and police called.

She added: “easyJet can confirm that police attended flight EZY481 from Belfast to Edinburgh on 18th October due to a passenger behaving disruptively onboard and refusing to wear their face covering."

The spokeswoman said anyone flying with the firm must bring a face mask with them and wear it on the flight.

She added: “In line with EASA guidelines, all passengers are currently required to bring their own face covering for their flight which must be worn during boarding and onboard, except when eating or drinking.

“Passengers receive clear communications before they travel and via announcements onboard to ensure they are aware of this requirement for the health and safety of everyone onboard.

"We will not tolerate disruptive behaviour towards other passengers and crew.”

The Police Service of Northern Ireland and Police Scotland have been approached for comment.

An airport spokesperson said: “Airport Police were called by ground staff due to a disruptive passenger within the terminal building at approx 16:35 on Sunday 18th October.

"The passenger was subsequently arrested and is currently under investigation.”
