Raging Scots driver returns to scene with hammer after rowing with local outside chemist

A raging driver returned with a hammer after rowing with a local outside a chemist on a busy Scots street.

Police say they are investigating the 'disturbances' near to the Boots store on Musselburgh High Street around 12.45pm on Sunday.

A member of the public confronted the driver and occupants of a white Ford Fiesta which was described as having a loud exhaust.

After the row the car drove off before the male driver returned in the motor with a hammer.

In a statement Police Scotland say a 'further disturbance' then took place and have issued a description of the driver.

It is unclear whether there were any injuries.

The statement reads: "A short time later, the driver of the above described vehicle returned in possession of a weapon - described as a hammer - where a further disturbance took place.

"The suspect male is described as white, believed to be 26 years old, 5ft 10, slim build, wearing a blue puffer jacket, dark shorts and trainers.

"A number of lines of enquiry are currently being investigated, however, if anybody is able to provide any information in relation to this incident, please contact Police Scotland on non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 1611 of 17/10/2021."
