One raging Liverpool fan has called for Steven Gerrard to be appointed as manager immediately as he insisted Jurgen Klopp should be fired.
The Premier League champions were beaten 4-1 by Manchester City on Sunday, a result that leaves them 10 points off the top having played a game more.
With Rangers cruising to the Premiership title Gerrard's stock has never been higher and it's no secret that he wants to manage his beloved Liverpool one day.
According to one fan on talkSPORT though the Anfield legend should up sticks immediately to replace Klopp.
Caller David said: "I've found out the German word for leave, it's 'verlassen'.
"That means that I want Jurgen Klopp to leave.
"Listen to my reasons: do you remember when, with Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool lost 6-1 away to Stoke City?
"Now, Liverpool this season, have had two terrible defeats: the 7-2 to Aston Villa and now this 4-1 to Manchester City. And they even lost to Brighton and Burnley at home.
"This is a crisis but I don't think Jurgen Klopp can solve it."
It was then pointed out to the unhappy fan that the current manager has won the league and Champions League in the past two seasons.
He hit back: "Why did Jurgen Klopp not think: what might happen if [Virgil] van Dijk gets injured? He should have brought in defenders on January 1!
"Do you know why Alisson is making those mistakes?
"Because the defenders in front of him are not good enough.
"You've got Fabinho in defence, Fabinho is a midfielder.
"He should have got two decent defenders on January, he waited until February 1 and this is why the team is falling apart."
That led to the inevitable question of who would replace Klopp and the caller had a readymade answer.
He declared: "Do you know what I would do now? Gerrard's won the league with Rangers. I'd get Gerrard in.
"Gerrard will get some mentality back into the team, Gerrard is a leader.
"We haven't got a leader at the moment, not on the pitch.
"(Jordan) Henderson is not a leader.
"If he's the best leader God help us.
"Look at Liverpool's results against the bottom six teams this season.
"It's appalling! Jurgen Klopp has no plan B and tonight you will get more callers saying Klopp must go."
