Raging Celtic fan makes 'league gone' claim as Superscoreboard caller says Neil Lennon has blown 10 In A Row

A Celtic die-hard ruled out his teams chances of securing an historic tenth title on the spin in a fuming Superscoreboard call.

'Steven' was clearly perturbed by his heroes' performance today as they were outplayed for most of the game despite home advantage against bitter rivals Rangers.

The scoreline means Steven Gerrard 's men go four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership but Celtic do have a game in hand.

You'd think, then, it might be a little early to be throwing in the towel but the caller was adamant his side have gone backward as Rangers have progressed and he could take no positives in defeat.

He said: "When that line-up came out I knew that's the league gone. That game's a marker. We knew that. We knew that from the start.

"As soon as that team come in that's us. That's us done.

"That's a marker. We haven't been playing well since the start of the season.

"Rangers are kicking on. I can't see how we get back."

Sunday Mail columnist Hugh Keevins interjected to ask if that means the caller has given up the league.

He responded: "Yes. Basically."

Keevins: "Steven. You have got to be rational. It's been a bad day. However, that was Celtic's tenth game of the season. There are 28 games still to be played. How can you give up the league with 28 games to be played?

"Because Neil Lennon is the manager and we have not been playing well since the start of the season. We have not played one good game apart from Hibs.

"That's been it."
