CHANDIGARH: Leader of Opposition (LOP) Partap Singh Bajwa on Monday criticised the Bhagwant Mann government for appointing AAP Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha as chairman of the advisory committee to the state government on matters of public importance.
He tweeted, “Like Sir Henry Lawrence foisted as the British Resident in Punjab in 1846 to control the Sikh Empire for an outsider, Raghav Chadha today has been appointed as the representative of the AAP Delhi Durbar in Punjab.”
He added, “This move is nothing more than circumventing the people's will and choice in Punjab and making the State a colonial outpost of Arvind Kejriwal ji. Absolutely uncalled for!”
