Rag'n'Bone Man 'threatens to quit' £1m mansion over plans to build dozens of new homes

Rag'n'Bone Man has reportedly threatened to quit his £1million countryside home after plans to build dozens of new houses.

The singer, whose real name is Rory Graham, has accused a property developer of using "bully tactics" to try to buy and buy his house in Heathfield, East Sussex, it's claimed.

"I don't want money, I want a place for my son to grow up," he said.

Speaking in a local Facebook group, Rory, 36, urged local residents to object to the plans.

He wrote: "Whitehall Homes Ltd want to build 34 houses on the land behind us. They've spent the last year using bully tactics to try and acquire my property.

"Cutting down 50 plus trees and destroying wildlife. I don't want to leave the area, but if the planning goes ahead, I'll have to move.

"Imagine what that many houses will do to the already growing traffic problems coming out of town. Any support would be appreciated."

He clashed with his local council earlier over plans to build a two-storey "party barn" at his home, The Sun reports.

The musician is said to have asked for permission to build a swimming pool, hot tub and bar in the barn, but his application was rejected after the council said the design was "too big" and "out of character" next to woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The Mirror has contacted Whitehall Homes and a rep for Rag'N'Bone Man and is currently awaiting comment.

It comes after Rag'N'Bone man reportedly called it quits on his relationship after almost a year.

He is rumoured to be single again after he split with girlfriend Zoe Beardsall.

The Giant hitmaker had moved on with Zoe following his split from ex-wife Beth Rouy just six months after they got married.

At the time, The Sun reported that a busy schedule was the reason for the breakdown of his relationship.

The insider claimed: "Things have been full-on for Rory around the release of his album and everything, so it has been difficult to spend a lot of time together.

"It hasn't worked out between them and they have called things off."

Zoe, who is a mum-of-three, and the Human singer reportedly found it difficult to prioritise time to see each other amid their busy lives.

The source added: "Rory has now gone down to Cornwall without her for some time out to reflect, after what has been quite a hectic few months.

"It seems as though that is it for them, which is a real shame. But they are both busy parents so it was always a juggling act to see each other."
