Newcastle United fans are beginning to dream that Mike Ashley's tenure at the club is coming to end after a company named 'Monochrome Acquisitions' was registered on Companies House.
The new company listed Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan and Mihat Kidwai as the directors - the pair run the Bin Zayed Group which, through Kidwai, claimed last week to have agreed terms for the club.
While this was played down by sources close to the club - it was confirmed that talks between the two parties had taken place.
The last few days has remained quiet, until one eager-eyed support spotted the newly formed 'Monochrome Acquisitions' - sending United fans into frenzy.
Furthermore, the name 'Monochrome' basically means black and white.
Chronicle Live has made calls to both sides - as well as Pinsent Masons, the law firm at which 'Monochrome Acquisitions' address is registered to.
While confirmation on what the new company means for the Newcastle United takeover goes on, it hasn't stopped fans getting excited at the prospect of a new owner.
Most fans launched into a chant incorporating the company's name into song.
The Geordie Boot Boy wrote on Twitter: "1, 2, 3, 4.... Rafael's Monochrome Army!!! Rafael's Monochrome Army!!! Rafael's Monochrome Army!!!"
Gareth Sewell simpled wrote: "Toon, Toon, Monochrome Army!
Others noted how quickly positivity and hope seems to spread through NUFC fan based on Twitter.
