Former Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva has hailed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's faith in Luke Shaw following his significant turnaround this term.
Shaw has enjoyed a resurgence within United 's ranks this season, buoyed on by the signing of Alex Telles last summer to establish himself as the undisputed first choice on the left side of defence.
His displays also earned him fresh recognition at international level, returning to the England squad for the first time in three years.
It marks a considerable turnaround by Shaw, who was often criticised during Jose Mourinho's spell at the club, and Rafael has highlighted Solskjaer 's role.
"Ole just need to take a big credit in this Luke Shaw comeback, I can say [that] he trust him when nobody did," he posted on Twitter.
"Congrats for your come back Luke. For people out there, never give up in your dreams even when everything and everybody is against you."
Shaw is expected to be amongst the starters for United in the Europa League final against Villarreal in Gdansk next week.
The 25-year-old has made 45 appearances across all competitions for United this season, including nine appearances in European competitions.
His contributions include a goal in the Premier League against Manchester City and six assists in all competitions for United.
He is expected to be included in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the European Championship this summer.
