Rafa Benitez reveals how he enjoyed proving doubters wrong against Leicester - now he's challenged his players to do it again

Rafa Benitez has challenged his players to maintain the same brilliant attitude they had at Leicester last week in tonight's clash against Southampton.

Benitez feels that the win at the King Power Stadium resulted in United's best tactical game plan of the season.

The 1-0 win moved United to 38 points, but Newcastle still aren't safe.

Benitez said: "There were two really good things against Leicester.

"Firstly, people said we had no chance and we'd lose.

"I read comments that we'd lose 3-1 and we had no chance.

"Our fans were brilliant and supported us like we were playing at home.

"The team also did very well.

"The movement and things we practiced in the training sessions to stop them we did really well.

"Tactically it was one of the best of the season.

"We did things right against Bournemouth and Tottenham but in this case it was positive as we won.

"OK, Vardy could have scored but so did we.

"Overall it was one of the best games in terms of commitment and tactics.

"Then you had the fans being brilliant too."
