Rafa Benitez relaxed about fresh injury to Newcastle United midfielder - but Isaac Hayden facing assessment

Rafa Benitez is not deeply concerned about a knock sustained by Isaac Hayden at the Emirates Stadium.

The midfielder was subbed late in the game after a disappointing display against his old club Arsenal.

However, it has emerged he was playing with an injury and will require assessment at the club's Benton HQ.

Speaking after the game, Benitez said: "We have Hayden complaining a little bit about his hip, but it seems that it’s not very serious."

United go into the clash with Crystal Palace still needing another win to seal top-flight safety.

But Benitez refused to lay into his players after a poor display in the capital.

He said:  "You can compete, but you have to do everything right.

"We beat Manchester City doing everything right.

"In some cases, even doing everything right, the other team can make the difference.

"You play against a team in the top four in the Premier League, they (Arsenal) are doing well and they play at home with a lot of confidence.

"Now we are focused on Crystal Palace and as I say every game is like a final for us."
