Rafa Benitez makes set-piece change that confused Everton fans

Rafa Benitez hopes to see more accuracy from Everton's set pieces in the future as he explained an interesting quirk involving Andros Townsend.

The Blues are yet to score directly from a corner in the Premier League so far this season, with their second goal in the League Cup loss to Queens Park Rangers indirectly coming via an Andre Gomes delivery.

In recent matches, Townsend has been seen not only taking corner kicks with his stronger left foot, but also delivering them from the opposite flank on his weaker side.

Benitez explained that he is happy with his side's delivery from corners but wants to see more accuracy and more goals in the future.

The Blues boss admitted: "We had the first game Lucas [Digne] was taking a few corners, some short corners.

"We changed to Andros to see if we had a different option, Andre Gomes in the Carabao Cup against Queens Park Rangers too.

"We are trying to find the right deliveries. So it's sometimes a question of confidence with the player who is taking the corner or the free kick.

"But we are quite happy with them because we have different options. Hopefully, little-by-little, we will have more accuracy and then we can score goals."
