Rafa Benitez in future hint as Celtic and Tottenham linked manager outlines new club criteria

Rafa Benitez has laid out his criteria for his next job, as the Spaniard notes "I like to win".

The former Liverpool boss has been linked with the vacant Celtic job though Eddie Howe is the clear front-runner.

He's also been touted as a possible replacement for Jose Mourinho at Tottenham, while rumours of a return to Napoli have been rife since Benitez left his job in China.

Now the 61-year-old has broken his silence on his future, stating that his next club must be one where he can win trophies.

Benitez told Sky Italia: "My memories of Napoli are fantastic, as well as the relationship I had with the city and the fans.

"I had two years there when Juve were dominant but we won two trophies.

"I have a great relationship with the fans and the club.

"(Aurelio) De Laurentiis is a visionary president, I remember when he took a plane to London to come and talk to me, he told me 'write down the strikers' and one of the names was (Gonzalo) Higuain.

"I like to compete, I like to win; however at the same time I can work with young people because I am a 'professor'. In Spain, at the moment, it is not possible to think about carrying out a project and trying to win something.

"In Italy and England, on the other hand, it can be done. It is still too early to know what will happen in the future, but it is clear that Italy and England are places where I have been happy.

"I had a great time in Naples, but I don't know what will happen in the summer. I'm just saying that you can win at Napoli."
