Newcastle United skipper Jamaal Lascelles is back in full training after a knee injury.
The skipper sat out of the trip to AFC Bournemouth last weekend as his team-mates managed a 2-2 draw without him , but Rafa Benitez insisted his absence had been to avoid taking any risks after Lascelles came off at half-time in the 3-2 win against Everton.
But Lascelles was all smiles as he took part in a full contact session with his team-mates and challenged Jonjo Shevley and co for the ball.
Despite not appearing away to Bournemouth, both Ki and Ciaran Clark were also pictured in action at Benton today.
With a host of players on international duty, Benitez also called up Under-23 striker Thomas Allan to train with the seniors after a string of impressive performances for the reserves.
Rob Elliot was also back on the training field after a back injury with the long-serving goalkeeper making an earlier than expected return.
The Republic of Ireland international has not appeared at first-team level since 2017.
