RAF fighter jets have intercepted a Russian bomber close to the Shetland Isles.
A voyager aircraft and two Typhoon fighter jets are currently blocking the Russian TU-95 bomber which is west of the Scottish island.
Aviation website Air Live says a quick reaction alert is underway after the Russian aircraft was spotted.
The website adds that other aircraft from Norway and Netherland have also been scrambled, Sun Online reports.
A spokesman for RAF Lossiemouth has confirmed a quick reaction alert has been launched but no further details are available at this time.
