An RAF fighter jet has been forced to make an emergency landing at a Scots airport.
The Typhoon plane declared an emergency at around 12.43pm on Wednesday before arriving at Aberdeen International Airport a short time later.
Emergency services raced to the scene to meet the jet however the exact nature of the emergency is currently unknown.
The plane landed safely shortly before 1pm.
Police Scotland confirmed they were called to the scene shortly after midday.
A spokeswoman said: “We were made aware of the incident shortly before 12.45pm.
“An aircraft had declared an emergency and landed safely by 12.55pm.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were also called and attended at the transport hub.
The RAF have been contacted for comment.
