This Edinburgh street is set to go traffic-free soon for a special event

Plans are being made for a traffic-free day on a street in Stockbridge this summer.

Raeburn Place could be closed to cars and diversions put in place in order put it on the map as a "fun, welcoming street."

The local community council is working with the city council in order to implement the closure, which would take place on Sunday, June 23.

There could be outdoor music, cafés, picnic areas and other family events on the day. It follows similar initiatives in other streets around Edinburgh.
