Radiohead’s manager, Brian Message, has reportedly revealed the band will release their next album in June, their first since 2011’s the King of Limbs.
Speaking at an “In Conversation” event at the London bar, the Wanstead Tap, Message said the long-awaited album “will be like nothing you’ve ever heard”, according to a tweet from the venue.

The news, not yet confirmed by the band or their label, comes after a series of moves that raised speculation about a forthcoming announcement. In October last year, Radiohead set up a new company, Dawn Chorus LLP – a move that also preceded their previous two album releases. The band also revealed new artwork when they announced a world tour in March, which will take in a series of headline shows and festival appearances – their first performances since the King of Limbs tour wrapped up in 2012.
And earlier this month, Radiohead’s B-sides and rarities began disappearing from streaming sites – the first step in the transfer of the band’s catalogue from the Parlophone label to the Beggars imprint XL Recordings.
There’s no further information about the album or what format it will take but the band will be performing the record during their headlining set at Primavera Sound, which takes place in Barcelona between 1 and 5 June . It is unknown whether this will be the first time the album is performed on their tour, which begins in Amsterdam in May.
The venue and the band’s label have been approached for comment.
