Radiohead have announced their first tour in seven years, with four dates booked for London.

The rock band - made up of Thom Yorke, brothers Jonny Greenwood and Colin Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, and Philip Selway - will play at the 02 Arena on November 21, 22, 24, and 25.

The group has other shows lined up in Madrid, Bologna, Copenhagen and Berlin in November and December.

“Last year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it,” drummer Selway said on Instagram on Wednesday.

“After a seven year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us.

“It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates. For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.”

Fans went into meltdown over the announcement, with one commenting: “Freaking out. I was literally just talking to my mum about the rumours then I get the email, Radiohead I love you.”

Another added, “WE ARE SO BACK,” as a third posted: “Omg, I’m going to die!!!!! Come to Brazil!!”

The English rockers will kick off the tour on November 4 with four shows in Madrid, Spain, before stopping off in Bologna, Italy, for four nights and heading to London.

The Creep hitmakers will then travel to Berlin, Germany on December 1 and play four shows and round things off with four gigs in Berlin, Germany, concluding the tour on December 12.

Tickets will only be available via registration on Radiohead’s website, which opens on Friday, September 5 at 10am BST and closes at 10pm BST on Sunday, September 7.

The group teased their tour comeback earlier this week with mysterious flyers posted around London, Bologna, and Copenhagen.

Last September, bassist Colin Greenwood revealed the group had reunited to rehearse together,

“We did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs,” he revealed at an event promoting his photography book, How To Disappear: A Photographic Portrait of Radiohead.

“It was really fun, had a really good time.”

Since Radiohead last played together, Jonny Greenwood, Yorke and Skinner have launched the band The Smile, who released their third album, Cutouts, last year.

Last month, Radiohead digitally released the live album, Hail To The Thief – Live Recordings 2003-2009.

The tracks were originally gathered as research for Yorke’s arrangements for the stage production, Hamlet Hail To The Thief. The live record will be physically released on October 31.
