We asked you for your favourite radio of 2006. You liked Eddie Mair. You loved LBC's Iain Lee. You weren't so keen on Xfm breakfast host Lauren Laverne. And you can't make your mind up about Radio 1's (and Radio Five Live's) Colin Murray. Here are the results.
We weren't doing a 'top 5' format as we did for TV, so don't expect a straightforward top 20. It didn't really work out like that. But here are your five favourite presenters, and a few of your comments.
Iain Lee, LBC: "Three and a half hours of peerless radio every day...he is a genius. Really."
Eddie Mair, Radio 4: "Wonderful; he gets the answers without being aggressive or pompous"
Geoff Lloyd, Virgin: "A great listen every day, and is one of the only radio shows to use a podcast well."
Gideon Coe, BBC 6Music: "Dry, laid back and immensely knowledgable about music."
Colin Murray. "Far better than any of the other post-Peel offerings in that slot."
A lot of you also liked Murray's Radio Five Live's Fighting Talk, but not all of you are convinced by its host - "arguably the least talented person on radio today" was one of your verdicts. Well, I guess there is no pleasing everyone.
The digital radio station to get most mentions was Chill. Find out more about it here. Runners-up included Planet Rock and Virgin Radio Xtreme.
The list was dominated by BBC names, even more than its share of audience listening would suggest, with lots of names from the country's most popular radio station, Radio 2. Its sister digital station, BBC 6Music also did well, with Coe, Phill Jupitus, Jon Holmes and Andrew Collins all mentioned in dispatches.
Favourite local radio stations and/or programmes include Bush and Troy on GWR Bristol; Danny Baker on BBC London; Guardian columnist Martin Kelner on BBC Radio Leeds; and Richard Skinner on BBC Radio Berkshire.
Who and what don't you like? Nothing really stood out, but if you really insist.... Sandi Toksvig, Lauren Laverne, Scott Mills, Heart.... Oh, and that Archers love triangle. Who will get over it first, do you think? The listeners or the characters in the show?
