A Los Angeles radio personality says that Minnesota Sen. Al Franken kissed and groped her without her consent while they were on a Middle East tour with the USO in 2006.
Leeann Tweeden published her allegations Thursday morning on the website of KABC Radio in Los Angeles. She said Franken kissed her aggressively while they were rehearsing a skit they would perform in front of a group of U.S. soldiers. She also posted a picture of Franken reaching for her breasts.
In a statement from his office, Franken said: "I certainly don't remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann. As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn't. I shouldn't have done it."
