Radio is Malawi's most popular news source

Radio is the most popular source for news in Malawi, partly due to the high illiteracy rate and partly because of the country's limited newspaper circulation. A survey conducted by three journalism organisations across 13 countries in southern Africa found that Malawi had the highest percentage of people, some 95%, naming radio as their primary news source.
