Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders has resigned from WURD Radio after admitting her post-debate interview with President Joe Biden included questions that were pre-selected by Biden’s campaign team, the station announced on Sunday.
WURD Radio, Pennsylvania’s only Black-owned talk radio station, confirmed that the interview featured pre-determined questions provided by the White House, which goes against the station's commitment to being an independent media outlet accountable to its listeners. Sara Lomax, president and CEO of the Philadelphia-based station, stated that the use of pre-selected questions jeopardizes the trust that the station has built with its primary audience of Black Philadelphians.

Lomax emphasized that WURD Radio prides itself on being an independent and trustworthy voice and does not endorse the practice of using questions provided ahead of time. She made it clear that the station is not a platform for any administration, including the Biden administration.
During the interview, Lawful-Sanders asked Biden four questions related to the election, his accomplishments, his debate performance, and his message to hesitant voters. She revealed in a subsequent interview that these questions were among eight recommended to her by Biden aides prior to the interview.
