Radio host in Ronaldinho birthday balls-up as talkSPORT regular scores major own goal

He's the man who splits opinion on talkSPORT and roving reporter Ian Abrahams has scored another own goal with his latest social media update.

The veteran broadcaster isn't shy in ruffling a few feathers and has been dressed down by the likes of Rangers legend Ally McCoist over some of his controversial opinions in the recent past.

But Abrahams has a softer side and loves nothing more than sending birthday messages to some of the world's leading lights - with his well wishes usually accompanied with him draped over an unsuspecting star in the form of an ambush selfie.

The West Ham fan always signs off with kind words for his 'friend' on their big day but his most recent salute might be his most ridiculous yet.

Yes, The Moose didn't miss a beat as he uploaded an image of himself and world superstar Ronaldinho to celebrate the legend's signature day.

He said: "Happy 40th Birthday former Brazilian star Ronaldinho, have a great day my friend."

A great day might be stretching it for the Barcelona icon who is currently locked-up in Paraguay and is reportedly facing six months behind bars for allegedly using a fake passport to enter the South American country.

And Moose's shoutout certainly caught the attention of Twitter users.

John wrote: "Is this a joke? You’re harsh, Moose."

Russell, speaking bluntly, added: 'I’m guessing he has no idea who you are mate."

Before Mark added: "Haha, you been on the moon Moose! I don’t think he’s going to have a great birthday."
