Radio Five Live listeners can be a cantankerous lot (in the nicest possible way of course). They are almost as resistant to change as devotees of Radio 4. So what are they going to make of today's big changes?
In a nutshell - Jane Garvey is off to spend more time with her family, ending a 13-year partnership with her drivetime co-host Peter Allen. She will be missed!
Richard Bacon gets a new high-profile permanent slot hosting a news, sport and entertainment show between 10pm and 1am, Monday to Thursday. He replaces Anita Anand, who has the formidable task of replacing Garvey on drive.
Gaby Logan gets the new Sunday morning show, replacing Worricker in Sunday which was a good listen in its day, but that day has probably gone.
Bacon's new show should be fun - that slot needs a big personality to stand out in the mix, and hasn't really had one since the golden days of Fi Glover.
So what will Radio Five listeners make of it all? It took them a long time to get used to Simon Mayo in the afternoons, but now (most of them) love him. They are still getting used to Victoria Derbyshire in the morning, if the station's occasionally hilarious message boards are anything to go by.
Expect them to light up like a Christmas tree any time now.
