Radio 1 gets cold feet over Skins tune

The third series of teen drama Skins is well under way on E4 and is ruder and brasher than ever. Last week, the show featured a reality show searching for a new member of fictional girl group Da Sexxbombz, hosted by Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, and included a character singing a rather raunchy song called "Ass 2 Ass". Never one to miss a marketing trick, E4 has now released the song – which was worked on by Beyonce collaborators The Rural – as a free download on its website. Monkey hears Mills was going to play the track on his Radio 1 drivetime show when the cast visited last week but apparently producers got cold feet because of its risque lyrics, which include the memorable line: "He wants to see me going ass to ass with you." Nice. Just don't tell the Daily Mail.
