Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills has announced his engagement to longterm boyfriend Sam Vaughan.
Fan favourite Scott has been dating Sam for over four years, and the pair finally took the next step in their love story over the weekend.
Scott took to Instagram to share his joyful news as he paid tribute to his handsome husband-to-be.
The much-loved admitted that he never thought he would settle down and find the one after several failed relationships in the past.
But when he met Sam, he knew that he would spend the rest of his life with his partner by his side.
Alongside several images of the pair together, Scott gushed about his handsome beau and how Sam changed his mind about marriage.
"Some Happy News! After 4 years together I’m delighted to say we got engaged at the weekend,” Scott penned on Instagram.
"As @samvaughan89 knows, I always said I didn’t think I would ever get married. But then I met you Sam.
"You make me laugh every single day, you support me in so many ways and I adore everything about you.
"As soon as I met you I knew this could be something special and it is (after a slow start)."
The Radio 1 DJ went on: "We’ve had some amazing times, and I’m bursting with happiness to know we will have so many more. I love you with all my heart."
Brand manager Sam also took to social media to share the happy news.
Alongside some snaps that were taken moments after the romantic proposal, Sam gushed about what a great husband Scott is going to be.
"The beginning of forever," he wrote on Instagram.
"On Saturday the love of my life asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!
"I’ve had the most amazing four years and can’t wait to continue our journey! I never thought I’d find somebody who’s as obsessed with Sky News as me and I can’t wait to call him my husband.”
Scott and Sam have been dating since 2017.
The pair have kept a rather low profile on social media in recent years, but their happy news has garnered much congratulations from famous friends and fans alike.
