Strictly Come Dancing bosses are ready to break the bank to land Radio 1 DJ Maya Jama for this year’s contest.
Talent scouts think Maya, 25 – ex of rap star Stormzy – would inject some glamour to the show, back on BBC1 in September.
A source said: “Maya ticks every box. She is young, beautiful, popular, bright, talented and has a big social media following.
"To get her this year would be a real coup. They have a six-figure fee on the table.”
Budding actress Maya is also on ITV’s hip-hop based panel show Don’t Hate the Playaz.
Strictly 2019 was won by actor Kelvin Fletcher, 36, and pro Oti Mabuse, 29.
Last week we revealed that Strictly bosses are reportedly offering to double fees to entice celebrities to take part in this year's series amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Bosses on the BBC dancing show are desperate for the show to have a strong line-up despite the covid-19 crisis playing havoc with production.
A source has revealed that bookers have been told that they can double what they've paid for stars in the past.
Among those considered the most expensive signings over the years are Anastacia in 2016 and Aston Merrygold in 2017.
An insider said: "Coronavirus has made planning a TV show difficult but producers are keen for Strictly to remain the jewel in the BBC’s crown.
"They’ve made some offers already and will be continuing to do so over the next few months to lock down a stellar line-up.”
