A hateful yob racially abused a woman and her kids on a McGill's bus.
Cops are hunting the vile racist who hurled sickening insults at the family - which included young children - on the No 38 in Paisley.
The frightened victims, who are black, were travelling through the town centre when they were targeted, police said.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, which happened around 6.45pm on Thursday, to come forward.
They are also urging the family to come forward as they have not yet been traced.
The suspect is described as a white male, of slim build, aged in his 20s, with short brown hair and a tanned complexion.
It's understood he got off the bus in George Street, Paisley, after uttering horrific comments to the family, which was made up of four young men and a woman with her small children.
Police say members of the public may be able to help identify the yob and urged the family to reach out.
Inspector Tracy Harkins, deputy area commander for Renfrewshire, said: "This would have been a distressing incident for the victims who were simply going about their business.

"Hate crimes will simply not be tolerated and have absolutely no place in our community.
