Racist note calling Asian people 'jihadi rats' and threatening to kill Tories sent to SNP councillor

A Scots council leader has shared a 'disgusting' race-hate filled note he was left to expose the racism on his door step.

Dundee City Council leader John Alexander said he was 'in two minds' about publicly posting the racist rant he received through his letter box.

A handwritten anonymous note sent to the SNP councillor is full of racial and homophobic slurs and threatens violence against conservatives.

It describes asian people as 'jihadi rats' and adds on Conservatives: "I'm going to give you a story when I kill a Tory. Any Tory will do." before wishing the coronavirus would "be selective and exterminate Tory voters and their m***** children."

Derogatory comments  are also made about black people and other minorities.

The note attacks Cllr Alexander directly saying 'how did you enter my country... you look like a slavic, g*po mongaloid." and says Asian people should not be allowed to run corner shops because they 'rape white girls'.

Cllr Alexander took to social media to expose the note- where he also referenced a recent defacing of a mural to George Floyd, a black man killed by police in America sparking worldwide protests, in Dundee.

He tweeted: "I was in two minds about sharing the contents of a letter that I received this week but on balance I think people need to see that xenophobia and racism is, sadly, alive and kicking in Dundee so that we can continue to challenge it.

"It has no place in our city.

"As we saw with the desecration of the George Floyd mural last month, there remains a minority who push hatred and intolerance.

"In 8 years, I've never received anything as disgusting as this letter. It's abhorrent on so many levels.
