A father-of-two was so violently attacked that a boot-print was left on his forehead, in an unprovoked racial assault.
The 26-year-old, who suffered a broken leg, which had to be repaired with metal plates, a broken nose, a smashed tooth which required extraction and head injuries, was in his vehicle when a van slowed down to drive past him and shout racist remarks.
“I got out the car and two of them jumped out the van and first didn’t say much and I had to walk towards them to get to where I had to go,” he told The Evening Standard.
The British-born Bangladeshi was due to pick up his partner and two young children.
“They called me a Paki and Muslim. Without any communication from me, one of them punched me on my nose and the other had me in a headlock. I thought I was going to pass out.
“I got hit on my leg with a ratchet, which has broken my leg and I’ve had to have an operation on it. They stamped on my head and all over me like a football.
“I was then getting kicked and kicked and it lasted for about seven or eight minutes. I was in fear of my life.”
The victim has said he is considering changing careers to help others who have been victims of similar unprovoked racial assaults, The Evening Standard reported.
A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said two people were arrested in connection with the attack and have since been bailed.
