Commentator Jerry Hannon had to work very hard for his fee as heavy fog made visibility near impossible at Punchestown today before the meeting had to be abandoned.
The Kildare venue passed an inspection this morning for a great day's racing, including the Grade 1 John Durkan Chase.
But a heavy blanket of fog didn't clear throughout the afternoon and it made for a nightmare for seasoned commentator Hannon.
With visibility nearly non-existent in the last couple of furlongs, Hannon had to wait until the closing stages before calling Willie Mullins' Min home as the victor of the feature race.
Min won the two and half mile contest for a third year in succession after what appeared to be a ding-dong battle with stable companion Tornado Flyer - although the camera only got a shot of third-placed Melon crossing the line.
The density of the fog increased even more after that race, forcing organisers to abandon the seven-raced card after three races.
