BALTIMORE _ Harford County Public School System administrators have called on the school community to help find out who wrote a racial slur against African-Americans on a blood drive flier at Fallston High School in Fallston, Md.
The flier was removed immediately and school officials are investigating who defaced it, Jillian Lader, a spokeswoman for the district, confirmed Monday.
The school's principal, Richard P. Jester, reached out to parents to "ask for their assistance in identifying who wrote on the flier as this behavior is not representative of Fallston High School students," Lader said in an email.
Pictures of the flier, an advertisement for a December blood drive, began circulating on social media on Friday. Someone had scrawled "P.S. Not For N------" at the bottom. A photo of the flier and an automated voicemail to parents from the school's principal were emailed to The Baltimore Sun by concerned community members.
