Rachel Riley brings adorable daughter Maven on Countdown in first episode since giving birth

Rachel Riley brought her adorable baby out on today's episode of Countdown, the first she'd recorded since giving birth.

The maths whizz, 34, welcomed baby Maven Aria back in December, her first child with Strictly Come Dancing pro Pasha Kovalev.

During the episode the proud dad brought Maven, now three months, out on to the set so Rachel could introduce her to the world.

The little one was a natural in front of the camera and looked super cute in a pink jumper and matching leggings.

Rachel looked thrilled to see her bundle of joy as she stroked her chubby cheeks while the family posed in front of the famous letters board.

Countdown host Nick Hewer had asked Rachel what she'd been up to during her 11-weeks off.

He asked her how her weekend was because, even though she took over two month months off, Rachel didn't disappear off air.

She told him: "I have a bit of a busy weekend, I made a new friend, quite literally, do you want to meet her?"

Pasha then brought Maven out to huge applause from the audience.

Nick said: "She's absolutely adorable but now it's time for mum to do a bit of work."

Rachel also marked the milestone on her Instagram account with an adorable picture of the two of them.

She was glowing in a multi-coloured cherry print dress with a Peter Pan collar.

The new mum beamed for the camera as she cuddled her little one close.

Rachel captioned the post: "Introducing our newest Countdown viewer on my first show back filmed post-baby today!

"Tune in 2.10pm on @channel4 if you want to meet her #newbaby #backtowork #tvdebut."
