Rachel Richardson becomes digital editor of News of the World

The Fabulous magazine executive editor, Rachel Richardson, is to become digital editor of the News of the World, and will oversee the Sunday newspaper's website's move behind a paywall. Richardson replaces the former associate editor Gary Thompson, who has been made director of product development for the Sun and the News of the World. Richardson, who has also been TV editor and showbiz editor at NoW, said: "Taking the News of the World websites behind the paywall will be a challenging task, but with our unique content and the team's great skill and hard work, I know the project will be a huge success."
