Rachel McAdams has posed for Girls Girls Girls magazine wearing Versace, Bulgari diamonds - and a breast pump.
The 40-year-old star of The Notebook had a baby with her screenwriter partner Jamie Linden in April. The magazine’s founder, photographer Claire Rothstein, shared the picture on her Instagram account with a heartfelt message.
“A million reasons why I wanted to post this picture,” she wrote, before going on to explain how between shots McAdams was pumping milk for her son and the pair decided to capture the moment to show “breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world, like breathing.”
Other A-list moms who have been working to normalize breastfeeding include Kristen Bell, who shared her backstage pumping routine back in 2013 and VS Angel Candice Swanepoel. “Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children," Swanepoel wrote.
In 2014 model Natalia Vodianova also shared a nude black and white photo of herself feeding her son, Maxim.
Earlier this year Kate Hudson - who gave birth to her daughter in October - took a photo of her breast pump machine with the caption "Thanksgiving day food prep."
Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde simply captured her own breastfeeding shot with, “My drinking buddy.”
