More than 15 years after Mean Girls hit theaters we can still recite the movie line-for-line. And it turns out we’re not the only ones.
Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried (aka The Plastics) haven’t forgotten their lines either. And as part of Katie Couric’s initiative to encourage people to vote in the November 3 election, the cast got together for a virtual reunion earlier this month.
But there was one very important moment we didn’t see - until Lohan shared it on Instagram, that is.
Reprising their roles as Regina George and Cady Heron, McAdams and Lohan recreated their hilarious phone call about the North Shore High Spring Fling.
The video shows McAdams and Lohan virtually acting out the scene from their homes, spliced with footage of the original call where Regina and Cady discuss Gretchen running for Spring Fling Queen.
Of course, Gretchen was listening in the whole time, and Chabert was there to dial in Seyfried and break the news to her.
Despite a few moments where the cast broke out into smiles (and even though McAdams didn’t load up on carbs mid-call), the girls proved they’ve still got it. And we are totally here for any other reenactments they might be keeping secret.
