Rachel Daly, Melissa Lawley and five others shortlisted for Women's Super League award

Aston Villa 's Rachel Daly and Liverpool's Melissa Lawley are among the seven players to be shortlisted for November's Barclays Women's Super League Player of the Month award.

Daly claimed the award for September, alongside manager Carla Ward, following a positive start to the season for the Midlands club. The England international has had another exceptional month, helping them to two victories against Reading and Liverpool, scoring four goals.

Lawley, on the other hand, has had a positive month with the Reds and recorded three assists in their 3-3 draws against both Reading and Brighton. Liverpool currently sit 10th in the table on five points, above Leicester City and Reading.

Also up for the award is Manchester City forward Khadija Shaw, both her and Daly lead the way as WSL top goalscorers this season with eight so far. Shaw scored in both of City's league wins in November against Reading and Everton.

Brighton's Danielle Carter has been shortlisted after a positive month with the club. The Seagulls drew 3-3 with Liverpool and narrowly beat West Ham 5-4, Carter scored three goals across those two games.

Manchester United 's set-piece star Katie Zelem is another player to be nominated for the prize, United were defeated earlier in November against Chelsea, but produced an exceptional display to beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates.

Arsenal's Frida Maanum had a stellar month for the Gunners, scoring in the 4-0 win over Leicester City, as well as the defeat to United. She too has been considered for the award as she continues to make strides under Jonas Eidevall.

For Chelsea, Guro Reiten has been shortlisted after the Blues beat both United and Tottenham last month. The Norway international scored from the spot in the 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge and also assisted Erin Cuthbert for the second of the afternoon.
