Rachel Allen pays tribute to sons Joshua and Lucca with candid family snap

Rachel Allen has paid tribute to her sons Joshua and Lucca this week with a rare family picture to mark International Sons Day.

The popular TV chef and presenter took to social media to celebrate the occasion by posting a candid snap of her two boys walking and smiling together.

She wrote: “Happy #internationalsonsday Joshua & Lucca xxx”

It comes just after she shared a similar post for her daughter Scarlett to celebrate International Daughters Day earlier this week.

The bestselling author shared a black and white snap of her youngest daughter to mark the date, and said: “Happy International Daughters Day Scarlett xxx”

But many were struck by the rare snap of her 12-year-old daughter, and how much she has grown up.

Others admired Scarlett’s curly blonde hair: “Look at those golden locks”.

The Cork based chef shares her three kids with her husband Isaac.

Rachel has previously opened up about the challenges of raising her children in the spotlight after her son Joshua’s trouble with the law in recent years.

She told Irish Daily Mirror: “Yeah, it’s been really tough. You know, when I was growing up, no one knew of me.

“And I didn’t do anything like that to break the law, but I was able to grow up privately. And so you know what.. It is hard.

“And it has been really tough actually.

“And I felt so bad, and I feel so bad.

“That an element of their lives is public, that you know, that makes it much more commented on than anyone else’s life.”
