A female UFC fighter has suffered a broken orbital bone after being attacked.
The manager of Rachael Ostovich, 27, confirmed today that she had been taken to Hawaii for treatment after suffering the facial fracture.
The identity of the attacker is yet to be revealed however TMZ reported that Ms Ostovich knew the culprit.
According to MMA Weekly, police are investigating the situation as a domestic violence incident.
Ms Ostovich is next set to fight Paige Vanzant on January 19, however her appearance is currently in doubt.
The orbital bone is located around the eye socket and can take months to heal.
Ms Ostovich competes in the flyweight division of UFC and is considered a rising star in the sport.
She began her career in 2010 as an amateur before turning professional in 2014.
Ms Ostovich is married to fighter Arnold Berdon, 27, and has a daughter Ruby Rose with him.
