Rachael Blackmore's Irish Grand National horse revealed as Tipperary jockey bids for more success

The Irish Grand National takes place on Easter Monday at Fairyhouse racecourse.

As you'd expect, Rachael Blackmore will be the centre of attention as she looks to add this signature race to her previous big wins in the English edition last year as well as this year's Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

Ahead of the big race, it's been revealed that she will ride Full Time Score for Henry De Bromhead.

The 8-year-old gelding won last time out with Blackmore in the saddle at Fairyhouse in February.

In addition to those good signs, he also raced three times in 2021 with Blackmore onboard and finished in 1st, 1st and 3rd respectively.

Blackmore will be aiming to fare better at this Grand National than she did at Aintree where she fell at the 10th while riding 2021 winner Minella Times.

This time around the gelding had a lot more weight to shoulder and he came to grief at the famous Liverpool venue.

Thankfully both rider and horse were okay after the incident.

The race won by Noble Yeats who was trained by Irishman Emmet Mullins, who was having his first runner in the race.

Sent off at 50-1, few would have expected Noble Yeats to strike in the extended four-and-a-quarter-mile showpiece – but he ran a magnificent race as he fended off the 15-2 favourite Any Second Now for a famous National success.

Coming to the last they were the only pair in contention and under a strong drive, Noble Yeats kept finding more to prevail in the colours of Waley-Cohen’s father, Robert. Delta Work (10-1) was third with Santini (33-1) in fourth.
