Race to become new Yeovil boss includes THREE former Notts County managers

Three former Notts County managers are among the bookmakers' list of candidates to take charge of the Magpies’ relegation rivals, Yeovil Town.

Former Magpies boss Kevin Nolan is the highest on the list with the ex-Newcastle midfielder priced at 8/1 to make the move to Huish Park after Darren Way was fired on Sunday.

Nolan was sacked by Notts last August and has since been linked with jobs at AFC Wimbledon and Shrewsbury as he looks for his new job in management.

Shaun Derry, who famously led Notts to the Great Escape in 2014 when they stayed up against all the odds in League One, is 12/1.

Heart-breaking defeat to Exeter sums up Notts County's season, admits Neal Ardley

Derry is currently the assistant manager of Oxford United with his last job prior to that being a spell as manager of Cambridge.

Lastly, Harry Kewell is 14/1 with the Australian having also been sacked by Notts this season after he was appointed Nolan’s successor last August.

But he only last until November before he was given the sack and he is also looking for a return to the dugout.

Current first-team coach Neale Marmon is favourite to get the job at 3/1 while Paul Hurst is second favourite at 4/1 having been interviewed for the Notts job prior to Neal Ardley’s arrival in November.

Whoever is given the nod to be the new manager of Yeovil will immediately be plunged into a relegation fight with the Glovers three points ahead of Notts in the table.

They do have a superior goal difference but have struggled for form of late and were beaten by MK Dons at the weekend.
