The frantic Edinburgh owner of a missing foster dog has appealed for help.
Eddie, a Britanny Spaniel with no tail, bolted while on a walk with his owner in Corstorphine Woods earlier today.
Lisa Haydon posted her appeal on social media, and warned that her dog was terrified.
She wrote: "Foster dog Eddie has bolted whilst on a walk up Corstorphine Woods. Anyone up the hill if you see him please contact Cat on 07866 820 699.
"Eddie is terrified and we do not think will approach anyone. Please get in touch with either of us with sightings. He was completely shut down before foster so please go gently if you do see him."
Her post was shared nearly 100 times on Facebook, with other dog owners anxious to help.
Annie Laurie wrote: "Oh no how truly awful!. Wee soul. Have messaged fellow walkers in the area."
