A man who killed his son's pet rabbit and a woman who doused her husband in boiling sugar water are among the criminals jailed in Wirral this month.
Among the most serious of offenders to come before the courts from across the borough also include a cocaine gang, a rapist and two men who slashed two brothers at Lime Street Station.
These are the faces of Wirral criminals brought before the courts and sent to prison in July.

Billy Rutter
Billy Rutter killed his son's pet rabbit and threw the severed head at his ex-girlfriend before trying to cook the pet.
The 33-year-old crept into the woman's Birkenhead home as she slept upstairs with their two young children.
Rutter killed the beloved pet at around 5am and went upstairs to inform the sleeping mum, who didn't believe him.
He then threw the severed head at her, which landed on her pillow, and she went to try and get help from neighbours.
When she returned she discovered he was trying to cook the rabbit in the oven because he "didn't want to waste it".
She fled and called police on February 20 this year and when officers arrived, her son repeatedly said: "I miss my bunny."
Rutter admitted causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, common assault and breaching a restraining order.
The thug, of Rufford Road, Wallasey, who has 18 previous convictions for 36 offences, was jailed for 15 months.
Bailey Doyle and Kyle Kearney
Bailey Doyle and Kyle Kearney slashed two brothers with machetes at Liverpool Lime Street Station in front of terrified passengers.
Doyle, 17, and Kearney, 18, attacked the 20-year-old and the 16-year-old siblings in a chance meeting during an ongoing "feud".
Shocking CCTV footage showed the pair pull two machetes from an orange shopping bag carried by Kearney on a train from Rock Ferry.
Horrified passengers fled from the train, as did the youngest victim, who shouted "he's trying to kill me!" on Friday, March 19 this year.
Kearney chased the 20-year-old, slashing him, before the victim fell out of the train onto the platform, and Doyle slashed him again.
The 20-year-old victim needed 28 stitches for wounds to his head, arms and body, and suffered fractures to one of his arms.
His 16-year-old brother also suffered fractures to his arm.
Doyle, of Fletcher Avenue, Rock Ferry, and Kearney, of Old Chester Road, Rock Ferry, both admitted two counts of wounding with intent and having a bladed article.
Doyle was previously locked up for two years and four months for wounding in 2019, after he stabbed a victim in the face with a screwdriver.
He was locked up for nine years and four months, with an extended four years on licence.
Kearney, who confessed to being a County Lines drug courier, has no previous convictions.
He was locked up for eight years.
Kieran Salkeld
Kieran Salkeld was jailed yet again for breaching the terms of a gang injunction.
The 27-year-old, of St Oswalds Avenue, Beechwood, was caught using a mobile phone which he hadn't declared to the authorities.
Salkeld was also found to have breached the court order by flouting conditions not to associate with certain people.
The gang injunction was originally issued on May 13, 2019 because Salkeld and other gang members were terrorising Wirral.
He was previously locked up in September 2020 for 168 days for breaching the terms of the injunction.
That was after previously managing to dodge a jail sentence for dangerous driving and a nightclub brawl after claiming his partner who worked in the NHS would lose her job if he was jailed.
Salkeld was jailed for 22 weeks.
Leon Rix
Leon Rix was caught driving with cocaine worth up to £142,900 under the seat of his car.
His Vauxhall Astra was stopped by Cheshire Police on Rocksavage Expressway in Runcorn shortly after noon on Wednesday, June 2.
Police discovered a kilo block of cocaine hidden under the driver’s seat, with an estimated street value of between £42,870 and £142,900.
They also found a baton in the glove compartment.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said Rix denied being a dealer and claimed he was moving the drugs for someone else.

He admitted possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing an offensive weapon.
Rix, 28, of Browning Drive, Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port, was jailed for three and a half years.
Alan Badley
Convicted rapist Alan Badley claimed he only breached the rules of the Sex Offenders Register because he was "running scared".
The violent thug once raped a woman in her own home and threatened to show a video of the attack to people on his estate.
The then 20-year-old headbutted and repeatedly punched the victim during a vicious three-hour ordeal in April 2008.
Badley, from Woodchurch in Birkenhead, was found guilty of rape after a trial and jailed for seven years in December 2008.
The now 33-year-old failed to notify police of his address after leaving a flat in Rice Lane, Wallasey earlier this year because he claimed he was having an affair with a married woman living in the same block whose partner had threatened him.
Badley, who admitted failing to comply with his notification requirements, also admitted two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of driving without insurance, fraudulently altering a vehicle registration mark, being in charge of a vehicle while above the alcohol limit, and breach of bail.
He was jailed for 20 months.
Callum Forbes
Callum Forbes knocked out a dad after "jeering" at his daughters and offering them a lift.
Martyn Corrin was walking back from an 80th birthday party with his family when a group of teens in a silver Vauxhall began shouting "sexualised comments" at his daughters, aged 12 and 16.
After the dad-of-three told them to "do one", Forbes, 17, knocked him unconscious with a punch before another yob kicked him in the head.
The victim's daughters tried to protect their dad from the attack, which left him with a bleed on the brain and fractures to his eye socket.
The males returned to the car "laughing" and one smashed a bottle before they drove off in Brindle Road, Bromborough on October 19, 2019.
Forbes, now 19, of Norley Avenue, Eastham, Birkenhead, was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm after a trial.
He was locked up for 18 months.
Paul Faulkner
Paul Faulkner ran an illegal stream that offered access to Premier League football.
The 35-year-old, of Portbury Way, New Ferry, was the operator of a subscription-based IPTV service that displayed football matches, entertainment and Sky channels illegally.
Faulkner was caught after The Premier League joined forces with FACT (an intellectual property organisation) to track him down and brought legal action against him in a private prosecution.
He admitted copyright and fraud offences, including accessing pirate content for his own use.
Faulkner was selling access to his service on social media, alongside his full time job, as a second source of income.
He was jailed for 16 months.
Wirral cocaine gang
Five gang members supplied large amounts of cocaine across Eastham, Bebington and Birkenhead in Wirral.
Officers seized more than 2kg of cocaine, £5,000 cash, Class B drugs, a Rolex watch and designer clothes on June 25, 2020.
Liam Bradley, 30, of Temple Road, Prenton, played a leading role, organising the preparation, storage and transportation of drugs.
He was jailed for 10 years for conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
Thomas Willis, 29, of no fixed address, was jailed for six and a half years for conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
Gary Andrews, 47, of Priory Wharf, Birkenhead, was jailed for three years for possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of amphetamine and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Stephanie Jones, 39, of New Ferry Road, New Ferry was jailed for two and a half years for possessing cocaine with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Gary Clare, 59, of Ethel Road, Wallasey, was jailed for eight years and four months for being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possessing cannabis.
Corinna Smith aka Corinna Baines
A mum who heard allegations her husband had sexually abused her daughter and son murdered him with sugared boiling water.
Corinna Smith, aka Corinna Baines, was left devastated on the evening of June 14 last year, when her daughter made the claims of historical abuse suffered, she claimed, by herself and her sibling.
It led the mum to believe that her son Craig - who took his own life in 2007, in his 20s, after being troubled before his death - had done so due to this abuse by Michael Baines, 80.
A polygraph 'lie detector' test was booked after a family discussion, with the intention being the 59-year-old's daughter and also her husband would undertake it.
But just a few hours later, Smith abandoned that plan, returned to their home in Highfield Road, Neston, Cheshire, and attacked him by pouring sugary boiling water over his body, having boiled two kettles.
He was left horrifically burnt, and died in hospital about a month later after numerous operations and skin grafts.
Smith was found guilty of murder after a trial.
She was jailed for life with a minimum of 12 years in prison.
Peter Bigelow
Peter Bigelow stabbed his sister in the neck after she asked him for money for slippers for their elderly mum.
The 54-year-old was the full time carer for 84-year-old Marion Bigelow, who suffers from dementia.
Janet Griffin visited their home in Gautby Road, Bidston to give her mum the slippers on June 12 this year.
But after her brother handed over the cash, a row said to be about their mum's care and finances broke out.
Bigelow collected a small knife from the kitchen, grabbed his sister around the neck and shoulder, then stabbed her three times in the back of the neck, inflicting three 1cm wounds, which required stitches at hospital.
He pleaded guilty to wounding and was jailed for 16 months.
Zowie Haygarth
Cocaine-fuelled Zowie Haygarth slashed a woman in the face after being kicked out of an afterparty at her home.
She went back to Chloe Smith's Birkenhead flat with a group of people who had stayed up drinking and taking cocaine until 8am.
The 36-year-old was asked to leave after becoming "rowdy" but went back for her bag on February 28, 2020.
But when Ms Smith went to hand her the bag, she was attacked by Haygarth, who wielded a "knife or knife equivalent" and dug the weapon into the woman's face.
The victim suffered multiple lacerations to her face, which left permanent scars, and has since suffered from PTSD.
Haygarth, who has two previous convictions for assault causing actual bodily harm when she was a youth, and one for assaulting an emergency worker in April this year, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The mum, of Craven Street, Birkenhead, admitted causing grievous bodily harm.
She was jailed for two years and one month.
