THESE are the stunning Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato Heritage TWINS by R-Reforged that the bespoke car maker is going to create.
Swiss-based R-Reforged has announced it will hand-build 38 Coupe and Speedster TWINS at its new UK facility in Warwick later this year.
The new machines celebrate the successful 60-year relationship between Italian coachbuilder Zagato and British luxury sports car marque Aston Martin, as well as Zagato Atelier’s centenary.
R-Reforged say the TWINS combine the best of two worlds – a pure sporting Speedster and a timeless Coupe. And although they’re only available to buy in pairs, with a price tag of about £2million, most of the 19 sets have already been sold.
The newcomers feature a reworked version of the V12 Vantage’s 5.9-litre, 48-valve, naturally aspirated engine to produce 600bhp (85bhp more than the original).
Clothed in an all-carbon fibre body, both incorporate an active aero and deployable rear wing to improve stability at high speeds while maintaining the clean surfaces and pure lines of the Zagato design.
Classic styling cues include the double bubble roof on the Coupe and exclusive 100th anniversary gold Z badging, and both cars sit on striking 19in alloys. The interior features trimming from Scotland’s world-renowned Bridge of Weir Leather.
Owners have the chance to specify every element of their new models, as well as watch some of the build process at Warwick.
