R.E.M. have shared rare footage of the band performing "It's The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" at Glastonbury in 1999.
Revealed exclusively via The Independent, the video is part of a new BBC collection of rare and unreleased live and studio recordings culled from the BBC and band archives: The Best of R.E.M at the BBC.

In-studio performances include a John Peel session from 1998, appearances on Drivetime and Mark and Lard in 2003, and a special Radio 1 Live Lounge performance from 2008.
Elsewhere, BBC personalities recall what it was like to work with R.E.M both on and off stage.
"Their Glastonbury performance in 1999 was a dazzling moment: the band storming through an all-killer, no filler setlist," BBC DJ and presenter Jo Whiley says. "As a headline performance, it was a triumph an, for me, it's up there as one of the Glastonbury greats."
The collection will be available as an 8 CD/1 DVD boxset, or as 2 CD and 2 LP formats. It will also be available to stream or download from 19 October via Craft Recordings.
