R&B star Sisqó recently revealed an incident where an imposter attempted to pass off as him for a Bat Mitzvah gig, almost succeeding in cashing a check and boarding a private jet before being caught due to a passport discrepancy. Despite the potential for legal action, Sisqó decided not to sue the fake Sisqó upon learning the imposter hailed from his hometown of Baltimore.
This isn't the first time Sisqó has been impersonated, with a similar incident occurring at New York City Fashion Week in 2017. The imposter, Gavin Barnes, denied claiming to be Sisqó but was mistaken for the singer due to his striking resemblance.
On a lighter note, Sisqó recently participated in the popular show 'The Masked Singer' as Lizard for Season 11. Despite making it to the Group C Finals, he admitted to struggling with the format of the show and forgetting lyrics during a performance.
Now back on tour with his R&B group Dru Hill, Sisqó remains best known for his hit song 'Thong Song.' Reflecting on the enduring popularity of the track, he shared advice he received from Babyface about longevity in the music industry.
