Walter Brennan's Career

After serving in World War I and working in California real estate, Brennan turned to acting in the 1920s. His breakthrough came with Come and Get It (1936), earning his first Academy Award, as per the Britannica report. He later won two more Oscars for Kentucky (1938) and The Westerner (1940).
